Pizza, snacks & a dance party March.11.2011

Geared up with snacks (chocolate and sour stuff...a womens best friend :D) and blasting the music from my itunes/youtube videos we were set for our girls night! Electra had brought the stuff to make homemade pizza (we used pesto mix to make the crust which was surprisingly delicious!)

Then as the pizza cooked we danced! Tessa showed off her ninja moves lol and all three of us came up with actions to popular songs-which was hilarious! When the pizza was done we devoured it as we watched "Say yes to the dress" ---ahhhmazing show!

Can't have pizza without some soda :) My guilty pleasure is vanilla coke :)

ICE! March 10.2011

So this morning I went to grab my milk for my cereal and the light to the fridge was out....I figured it was just the light bulb and I'd get a new one soon. I then thought about the freezer and I opened it up and BAM water droplets chilling on the side so I started looking around to see what was wrong-I pushed the reset button on the outlet and it started working again so I went on with my day. Later tonight Carlye went to open the freezer to see what ice cream was in there and to her surprise she found an ice rink about a half an inch thick! Yup throughout the day the freezer had started working and a whole lot of water had frozen! So there we sat chiseling away trying to get rid of the ice....which took a good half hour! We took some photos so you could see what it looked like!

Survival Kit March.10.2011

Ah gotta love finals....well of course I will now since my mommie sent me a survival kit full of goodies :) Thank you mommie!

Inside it is full of yummy snacks to keep me going throughout the night as I stay up late for finals (ya who am I trying to kid haha I can barely make it to midnight lol...something inside me always tells me "hey why stay up when you'd much rather be sleeping because you and I both know if you stay up you won't get anything done" Yup and the voice always wins! I am not very productive late at night & I love me some sleep lol!)
The survival kit comes with the "Top Ten ways to reuse the bucket" and since the photo I took of it didn't turn out let me inform you of some of the ways just for kicks!

1) Build a snow man or castle (i live in WA no beaches around sadly...and thankfully the snow is gone) 2) Tote your shower supplies (first off I don't think I would ever use this as that and secondly I have my own bathroom so I don't need it lol :p) 3) Use as a planter (my mom has the green thumb not I!) 4) Hold your makeup (If anyone had that much makeup...wow..leaving it at that!) 5) Organize school supplies (square paper in round tub? hmm) 6) start a tool box (hmm tempting-too bad I alright have a tool box for that) 7) Storage for cassettes or cds (who has those anymore? its all about the Itunes now lol) 8) handwash clothes (if you know me go ahead and laugh cuz all i can say to this is HA!) 9) Keep your munchies fresh (the bucket from last quarter is still sitting there with some left overs in it...seem fresh to me haha) and 10) Save your pennies (we're college kids. we are broke HA!)

I do love the munchies inside though.....thank you again mommie :D

Happy Birthday Landon March.10.2011

So long childhood and HELLO teen years! Landon turned the big 13 today! I can't believe he is officially a teenager! Happy Birthday Landon! For all of you who don't know who this is, it's Nate's little brother! This past summer I got the chance to hang out with him and his sister Mireya a lot...we went swimming and hit up Sonic as well as chilled at the Schott's house and watched movies! Landon is a goof but I love him :D He is super smart and has definitely become a Schott with his quick wit and sarcasm-its hard to keep up with him sometimes lol

I used to think I was cool because I was the only one out of my friends who could do a front flip off the diving board, well this past summer I got showed up by Landon who knew how to do it...I sadly failed at getting a good picture but that is what he was doing in this shot!
To describe Landon I would say: pet lover! This is the Schott's dog and Landon swears he is going to marry him...he is obsessed with it, he also wants to grow up and be a vet so its good for him to have practice with schottzi (yup clever name eh?) He loves that dog and the dog sure loves him too!

He is a dork but I love him lol!

Happy Birthday Dad March.9.2011

Its the BIG one for my dad today :) 50 years ago he was born ;p I wanted to wish you a very Happy Birthday Dad. My dad is a well I call him a nerd but he is really math/computer/software tech smart which I have to admit has been very helpful over my schooling years. I love going down to Utah to visit my dad, we always go out on a daddy/daughter date and catch up which is always a good time! I love going to the temple and my dad has made sure that each christmas when I am in Utah we go to temple square and see the lights (thanks Dad!) Man the Salt Lake City Temple is gorgeous and with Christmas lights its oh the better! :D

My dad came up to Washington for my graduation last June. And of course you have to take photos whenever the family gets together :) (or with me its basically whenever lol) and my dad started posing so I joined in on the fun! Happy Birthday Dad hope its a grand old time :)

Sociology project-complete! March.8.2011

This is how I felt about this project last night...super stressed because I was about ten hours away from going up in front of my sociology class (about 100 people) and presenting the project my group has been working on for the past 8 weeks.

This morning I was still feeling nervous but I was a bit more excited for it. I always loving dressing up-definitely puts me in a good mood :D And now that it is over *sigh of relief* ...I can say I think that the presentation went really well, the Professor seemed to like it (which is always good lol) and now only a final for the class and it's over...its so odd to think that I am a week away from being 2/3 done with my freshmen year-where did the time go? (not that I'm complaining!)

Today marks the last day on the thin column so now I have moved onto the middle section-that means I am marching my way towards the year mark! Wowza! Made me so happy to mark that circle :D

Nate is one tricky kid haha...somehow he managed to get this letter from Texas to Washington without the stamp! How did that slip passed the post office people haha! We had to take a photo of it so we can print it out and send it to him...that kid is skillful, one of the reasons I love him haha! I can't wait to hear his explanation for this one lol!

Luck of the Irish March.5.2011

YAY for March and St. Patrick's Day...means I get to collect more green stuff for Elder Schott :D Since my mom is awesome and got him all the stuff I got the chance to come up with the clever sayings on them :) Elder Schott makes these awesome mint brownies using the Andes mints so I sent him some so he could continue making them while he is out so he doesn't lose his talent for it lol because I want him to make them for me when he returns :) And of course pictures from home :) Haha that one is from when I went to the Casino Night at my dorm-it was 1920's themed!

Kim's wedding reception March.5.2011

I LOVE coming home and hanging with my mommie :)

On Saturday night we got all dressed up (which was tons of fun) and headed to my mom's co-workers wedding reception. It was down on the waterfront which made for some beautiful sights :) The reception was Hawaiian themed (the couple had actually gotten married in Hawaii on Valentine's day) which made for some awesome decorations and sweet photos from Hawaii on their slide show! Kim looked absolutely gorgeous and her cake was stunning-flowers on cakes always makes it look perrty :) She won my heart over when I saw the food was catered by The Old Spaghetti Factory (my favorite if you didn't know) and so I was in heaven and I might have went back for seconds...or was it thirds lol it was THAT good!

It was fun hanging with my mom for the night! Getting dressed up is definitely a good way to help ya get out of a bad mood (which I felt I was stuck in the whole week) But no more! This weekend was fantastic!

Hangers attempt 2 March.3.2011

This week I had to use real cardboard to make my hangers....not a complete failure-I'm sure some kind of jacket would work on this, not sure if the jacket they are going to use will but we will see tomorrow!

Had two hearts together but i am a horrible artist so the two hearts came out two different sizes....ya so i cut it and decided to only use one :)

What better to get for dinner than some tots ;p Well its our appetizer lol we will get real food later :) But whenever you get tots you have to make Napoleon Dynamite references. its a must. HAHA :) Love me some tots!

Elder Schott's new photo March.1.2011

Howdy from Texas-yup Nate has started using words like "ya'll" and "howdy" I personally can't stop laughing whenever this happens...this boy hates country (i think thats why he was sent to Texas) so its funny to watch him changing into a country boy as he's been out :) He had some great news in his email this week 1) the man in this photo with him is named Chris and he was baptized this past Saturday which is awesome-i LOVE baptisms :) and 2) he got a call from his former companion and the mother and son he baptized earlier (picture below) the father in that family has decided to get baptized as well! Nate was so excited and hopes that they can work towards the temple together :)

Also in this email Nate said that he got the chance to go to the San Antonio Temple for the first time, he absolutely loved it and said it is now his favorite temple (lol figures) but he said the stained glass windows were beautiful and the spirit he felt there was amazing! He can't wait to go back! I hope we follow through with our plan to go back and visit Texas for a vacation so he can show me around and that we can go to visit the temple because I agree it is gorgeous in the picture-but I want to see it in person :)

Doubts....be gone! March. 1. 2011

When Thursday rolls around and my mail box is empty I figured it was because of the holiday so I guessed my letter would come on Friday or Saturday at most. Well every day I anxiously checked the mail box to find disappointment when it was empty. I kept myself busy and tried to hope for it on Monday...well Monday came and still nothing in the box-I swear the mail box was messing with me by looking like there was something in there each time I looked and still nothing. Well then the doubts began to fill my head...I know I should be patient and just wait for the post man to bring it but I'm human and I can't. Thoughts filled my head about whether or not Nate was going to write me this week. Had he given up and decided being just friends would be best? Would he change his mind and think it would be better to write only once a month rather than weekly? Well then last night a lot of my friends were having issues with their men they were waiting for which made my mind go crazy...I lied in bed last night trying to think back of all the good times Nate and I have had to settle my mind down so I could finally get a good night of sleep. Well it was hard but I finally had a feeling of calmness and I drifted off to sleep. Today I searched for the mail-still nothing (I developed a theory that the post man hated me) and then when I came back from work in my mail box was a white envelope from HIM!!!!! I ran upstairs and sat and read it!

Although our letters are two weeks delayed (we call it having a two week delayed conversation) he still knows exactly what I need to hear! He definitely puts a smile on this girl and makes me fall in love with him all over again! Its funny how we may be states apart and yet he still knows what to say and knows how to settle my doubts, comfort my worries, and eliminate my fears :) Nathaniel I love you!

Goodbye February Hello March! March.1.2011

Why Hello there March....I am glad to see you-shortest month is over for the year..One down on the countdown without Nate and one more to go-I got this ;)

Well March is going to be an awesome month I have a feeling.. why you may be thinking? Let me tell you! Birthdays galore (mom, dad, friends, other family, my half birthday!), Finals week (ya I did put this under the good category-I have a good feeling about my finals!), and with finals comes spring break...and I'm hopping on a plane with my mommie and headed to good old Utah to see my family especially excited to see my nephew and niece-can't wait to see how much they have grown & I get to see my friends..Ya this is going to be a good month! And after all the fun is over so will this month :)

Epic Adventures of Tessa & I Feb. 25. 2011

Oh my heck-I love this girl! Tessa came over last night and I needed to return my ink at Walgreens so we walked the five blocks to get there. In the dark :/. and the cold (brr face lol) but we made it :) And then we went to the ocho (cafeteria a.k.a. the eight) and we got fish sticks-ya they totally cheap shotted us with the fish sticks, usually they're big pieces and as you can tell these were not so much. Shrimps ;)

And then there was the tots-you can never go wrong with the tots :) We had a blast making Napoleon Dynamite references during dinner-don't tell me you never do that?

Then we came back and watched "Say Yes to the Dress" -ya we are addicted to that show but honestly how could you not be?!?!?

We were kind of on a wedding high from that show so we started looking up dresses online, then songs to use as our first dance songs, then it turned into looking for wedding shoes, then wedding flowers lol It was a blast...I haven't laughed that hard in so long-thank you Tessa I had a blast!
