So after helping set up the tables and chairs for the YSA activity, Electra and I went and got prepped for the event and where else would one do that but the bathroom? (;p) I was already ready and so as Electra applied her makeup and fixed up her hair I danced to music (thank goodness for smart phones!) and kept Electra entertained (its my job haha) and then we took photos of our finished products-see!!!
Came back from the institute this afternoon and checked the mailbox and discovered I had gotten a package :) Sis and Bro Lee (friends from my home ward) sent me a Valentine package! I started opening up the packages and found gum (i love chewing gum!) and chocolate covered cookie dough (who doesn't like candy?!?!) Then i decided to follow my curiosity to the box labeled puzzle. I opened it up and saw the color of skin so as I put it together I saw that it was my man :) The Lee's are so creative! And on the back of it is the words Called to Serve and Nate's mission scripture :) I also got a box of fruit loops (man do i LOVE cereal lol) Thank you guys so much!!! I LOVE it :)
This is what happens when I keep my hair in a ponytail all day and I take it out as I get ready for bed hahahaha...Ya I took my ponytail out and was like "wow my hair feels really weird" come to find out that's because half of it was sticking out lol!
So Sunday was basically an incredible day-A wonderful sacrament meeting filled with tons of uplifting stories, the Packers took home the win at the Super Bowl, and Nate and I completed the Book of Mormon. 
I decided to use this photo to talk about the super bowl instead... (even my niece Brooklyn was rooting for Green Bay lol) My bro in law johnny is a HUGE Green Bay Packer fan and so when they were headed to the Super Bowl he was excited-well lets be honest... he flipped! lol! ya he was stoked for it!
These little kiddos make me smile from ear to ear! Jaxson is ADORABLE and is at preschool this year and is coming along great with his potty training-go buddy go!
Then there is Miss Brooklyn-man she is growing up so fast! She is crawling all over the place-even up and down the stairs! I just love this little girl and her hair accessories ;) She likes to wear flowers like her Auntie :)
Itunes + Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream + chatting with friends = how i study for midterms lol. Two midterms in one day-that shouldn't be legal! But since I figured I was going to be up till (an undetermined time) I needed the sugar to keep me going. Oh midterms-grrr!
Today we had Priest and Laurels from all over the Seattle area come to the Institute for our Great Expectations activity (showed them around the institute, talked to them about picking colleges, and then a motivational talk by Bro White-one of our awesome Institute teachers to the left there! and pulled pork sandwiches with ice cream and then we went to Husky Stadium to play ultimate Frisbee!) Playing on Husky Stadium is such a rush! Of course it was raining (always does when we go outside to play in Washington) and so it was cold and rainy which made for some awesome slides, amazing plays, and not to brag but for one epic interception by yours truly lol :)
What better to do on a Friday than sit in your room because it is bleh outside-thank you Seattle. I decided to devote this post to you and the weatherman, thanks for telling me that it was going to be 52 and sunny and get my hopes up and then I wake up to a gray sky and rain :/ But life goes on....and this is the second half of my post-i LOVE how in Seattle that no matter the weather (mostly because it is like this outside for most of the year) people are still in high spirits and keep going with their daily routine. Definitely helps me during my down days-which this week was one of them so the gloomy weather outside kinda fit with my mood-but i have hope that Seattle will bring some sun! Why is summer so far away?
Never in my life have I ever seen a month zoom by like January did-and never in my life do I honestly don't care haha. A new month is here (and woohoo for being the shortest one too!) and that means a few more weeks of this quarter, getting closer to midterms :/, and heading to another month down for Elder Schott :)
Got my weekly email today from Nate's dad and a picture came with it :) YAY I love pictures! Elder Schott got transfered this last week to Converse, Texas and this is his new companion Elder Taylor. So we live in a SMALL world-the two Elder's were talking and introducing themselves and discovered that they are both from Tacoma, Washington (they actually live about ten mins apart) and both were on their high school swim teams so that means that they swam against each other too! I am glad he has someone that he has common interests with-I think it will make it easier to live with for the next 6+ weeks with :) Love you Elder Schott!
Delayed a bit I know :/ but I had a hectic week so now's my chance to catch up! So I can proudly say for the first time in my life (yes it took me 19 years) I have completed a journal from cover to cover :) Usually I start them and then the umph goes away and the habit is lost. But since Nate is gone and I write him each week about my life I like to write things down so come Sunday I will remember what I've done each day :) So Nate has been gone a little over six months so that means I have been writing each night for that long-(not trying to sound like I'm bragging I am just really excited that I have made it into a habit!) Thank you Nate for suggesting me to write in a journal each night :)
So Saturday afternoon after Carlye decided to wake up (literally afternoon-she got up at 1 p.m. lol!-granted we were up till 2a.m. hanging out) we went out to grab lunch at the Rusty Pelican! I ordered biscuits and gravy (Carlye's recommendation-which by the way was fantastic)
So when I went to the symphony on Saturday evening I brought my camera with me so I could take photos (of course, when do I not have my camera with me lol) but when we got inside they told us that we were not allowed to take photographs (this was after I had taken one with my phone lol) Anywho I put the camera in my jacket pocket and wrapped my jacket over the back of my chair so that I wouldn't be tempted to break the rules...well the couple next to us (bless their hearts were old and had to get up a few times) well since we got up so they could pass by my jacket fell off the back of my chair and thus went my camera out of my pocket...which I forgot to check for after it was over :/ So after getting all the way back to my dorm around midnight after dropping Tessa off at her school I unpacked my stuff and noticed that I DIDN'T HAVE MY CAMERA (ya i freaked out!) Carlye suggested that it might have fallen out in her car while we were rocking out on our way to drop Tessa off (yes we rocked out and had a blast!) Well sunday afternoon Carlye went out with her family and so she checked her car and ya no camera :( So I called the symphony and asked the Lost & Found to see if they had found it.....and they HAD!!!
So I will say that this little booger is one of the best inventions-it helps us become independent and not rely on our parents to wake us up (don't get me wrong mom i loved having you wake me up each morning) but the point of this post is to complain about the thing-well my weekends are devoted to sleeping in and especially with 1 o'clock church I can do it (YAY late church!) but living in a dorm i am "fortunate" to live with two other girls who have different schedules than i...so this morning (after going to bed at like 2 after hanging out and waiting up for my roommate to get back safely from her date) i was awoken to the obnoxious ring of the stupid alarm clock! And either I was super tired or it continued for like EVER! I swear it was at like 6 a.m. too!!! UGH! So to the alarm clock that gets me up every morning whether I like it or not-thanks a bunch (sarcasm implied)
