CES fireside with M. Russell Ballard November 7, 2010

Being at the Institute I am privileged to find out all about the messages that the first presidency and quorum of the twelve broadcasts. This weekend M. Russell Ballard aired a CES fireside so a bunch of us headed over to the Stake Center to watch it. It was an amazing talk, he discussed the basics of the gospel. He talked about going back to the simple things and not getting caught up with the world. It was a great reminder especially for myself, technology is fantastic but its nice to remember the little things in life :)

Turkey Bowl November 6, 2010

So guess what I did this weekend? I played at Husky Stadium-yup that's right! Right on the field-just like how the real football players do it!

The Young Single Adults have their annual turkey bowl and I got a chance to be on the team and play with people from my ward :)

Trunk or Treat Halloween 2010

Trunk or treat :) Yes I went as myself (i'm scary enough :P) Nah just kidding, I figured I am an adult now so I was just there to help out Ember with the kids while Joe handed out candy to all the tricker treaters!

Relief Society Halloween Party October 28, 2010

BOO! Tonight seemed to be the night to celebrate Halloween events! First off Carlye and I headed down to our dorm Halloween party in the lounge where we stood around feeling out of place because we didn't dress up. (carlye tried to pull off and say she was garfield...ya right! lol) Then Electra and I headed to the Relief Society Event where it was decked out by Katy's love of halloween haha

Skeleton's made out white chocolate..mmm mmm, fingers made out of cookies and then we bobbed for apples-i won with a time of 0.6 secs :) thats right less than one second-go me!

Makeovers October 23, 2010

So what a better way to spend your Saturday night then doing makeovers-such girls we know lol. Well since I am the only one that knows how to do hair I was the one who was in charge of the makeovers. So Carole got her hair curled and Adrianna got it straightened (first time ever) and she looked adorable! So Sunday morning Adrianna came over and I straightened her hair again and curled Carole's and straightened my own too lol...

Tailgate/ UW Volleyball vs Arizona State October 22, 2010

Well again before anyone freaks out over the first part of the title-the Institute put on a tailgate party before we went to support one of our members who is on the UW Volleyball team :) The Tailgate was awesome-I hadn't had a hamburger in a while and it was DELICIOUS!

Electra and I made a creative design with the cookies and Carole got put in charge of organizing the table! The volleyball game was against Arizona State- UW kicked their butts :) It was a blast-my first UW event...I am excited for more to come!

Obama/ Brittany October 21, 2010

Okay so first off I have to start off by saying that today the President of the United States came to University of Washington's campus (take that WSU!) it was pretty sweet saying that the president of the U.S. was here but it made for really congested streets and empty classrooms -kids thought seeing the president promote Patty Murray was more important than their education i suppose, I didn't really have any interest in waiting in line to listen to him talk (but hey that's just me!)

But the best part of today is that 26 years ago my mom and dad gave birth to my BIG sister Brittany! She has been such a blessing in my life, I am so glad for technology in that even though we are separated by a few states we can stay connected and in touch. I love you Brittany, thanks for always being there for me whenever I needed a girlie chat or some advice! LOVE YOU! I hope you had an amazing birthday!

FHE-LIfe Size Chess October 18, 2010

So tonight for Family Home Evening we played Life Size Chess. Well first off I don't know how to play chess but I do know that there is a position called the bishop and I was so on it-yup that's right I was the Bishop ;)

Tessa was the King and we ended up passing around her crown all taking turns lol and Butchie and Electra were pawns (not as cool as a bishop lol)

Bubbles October 14, 2010

So Carlye and I have WAY too much free time lol but we spend it wisely ;) After class today we decided to have a bubble blowing photo shoot-it was a pretty fun way to spend my afternoon! We got some really cool bubble photos too :)
