They had mexican cokes (ya the legit ones!) It was a pretty fun evening-they had a photobooth (with props) that we took advantage of lol

Oh Electra :p Feb. 12. 2011

Not sure exactly how to describe this but this is what Electra does when I am skyping. Lol I was skyping with Jenna and all of a sudden I looked over and this is what I see! Ya Electra is pretty much awesome-she always knows how to make me laugh :)
I asked if I could get her photo and her answer was "only if I can be dancing" haha. dork.

Sunbeams :) Feb. 11. 2011

Ya Tessa and I are basically trouble makers lol...we went out from the dance to find the water fountain and we spotted some little chairs-yes everyone is thinking "just my height" but it was SO much fun! I love the little chairs and I miss being in Primary :) It was a great ending to our fun night :)

HOT chocolate :/ Feb. 11. 2011

CAUTION: contents WILL BE hot!!!

So this is Allen. Allen is awesome (carefree guy who loves to joke around) well he took his "joking" to another level tonight. So as mentioned before the guys were supposed to make desserts, well Allen found this chocolate that has Ghost Chili in it (the hottest chili on earth) and decided to use that as the chocolate for his chocolate dipped strawberries. He made a beautiful spread of chocolate dipped strawberries mixed with cookies (which I later learned were made with bacon flavored chocolate). So everyone fell in love with his dessert and put their raffle tickets in his bag. Well it ended up going to table 3 but Allen later came up to me and was like "i saved one for you" (me thinking it was a sweet gesture took it) and i said "ah you do like me!" and he replied with a laugh and said "yes i do" so i took a huge bite and then went back and sat at my table and then it HIT man did my mouth go on fire!!!! At first I thought it was just my taste buds acting up since I had consumed way too much food already and they were telling me to stop eating-boy was I wrong!! Ya so I am sitting there dying from this burn and I look to the guy to the left of me and was like "will you try this and see if it tastes funny" he grabbed it and the chocolate got on his fingers and he liked them and he was like "WOW that is HOT" (ya that stuff is that strong and i had a huge chunk of it :/) So i look around and Allen has this smirky grin on his face....grr..
BUT he is a nice guy afterall-he ended up eating the plate he had made out of the chocolate to hold his strawberries as a payback for me :) Ya hence the picture :) After that I forgave him and we turned it into a game trying to get others to try the chocolate lol!

The sweets Feb. 11.2011

So the rule of this event was the boys arrived at 6 with their sweets and the gals came at 6:30 with our canned goods so that we could get our tables & raffle tickets :) Electra and I " strategized so that we could sit at the same table that way we could have 20 tickets instead of ten each (smart huh ;p) Well as you can see from the pictures the desserts were pretty impressive. We ended up winning all three of the desserts we wanted (YAY us-its the picture that has three desserts and the number 6 on it!) After we had our sweets and men (oh ya ;) ) we got dinner that was served by the older adults from the Stake. And then we got to enjoy our desserts and had some awesome conversations! After we had ate WAY too much they put away the tables clearing the area for the dance floor (ya boi!) Man was that dance awesome! I love surprising people with my awesome "gangsta" dance moves haha (i accredit it to going to WHS for high school-yay for "ghetto" schools lol) But ya Steven (aka Butchie) and I showed up everyone on the dance floor with our moves!

Sweet Meet-Decorations Feb. 11. 2011

Ah hearts, kisses, thought bubbles-the sweet meet or should i say "the event formally known as the sweet meet" (that was its real name lol) made for some awesome entertainment. We had helped set up so we were a bit early so after all was up and ready we decided to play around a bit!
1st off Electra wasn't really into the "love" thing as you can tell by the first photo, well at least from Tessa haha
because Electra turned around and tried to purpose to me (with a ring I was already wearing by the way ha!)
then we switched over to the thought bubble...man whoever invented chalkboard paint is a genius! That was such a fun idea! The story behind the one of Tessa and I is that Tessa always says "oh my heck and goodnight (not like when she is going to bed or leaving but as like a ending point to a debate haha) and my response is always "oh tessa!" :)

Sweet Meet-prep Feb. 11. 2011

So after helping set up the tables and chairs for the YSA activity, Electra and I went and got prepped for the event and where else would one do that but the bathroom? (;p) I was already ready and so as Electra applied her makeup and fixed up her hair I danced to music (thank goodness for smart phones!) and kept Electra entertained (its my job haha) and then we took photos of our finished products-see!!!

BEST Valentine EVER Feb. 11. 2011

Came back from the institute this afternoon and checked the mailbox and discovered I had gotten a package :) Sis and Bro Lee (friends from my home ward) sent me a Valentine package! I started opening up the packages and found gum (i love chewing gum!) and chocolate covered cookie dough (who doesn't like candy?!?!) Then i decided to follow my curiosity to the box labeled puzzle. I opened it up and saw the color of skin so as I put it together I saw that it was my man :) The Lee's are so creative! And on the back of it is the words Called to Serve and Nate's mission scripture :) I also got a box of fruit loops (man do i LOVE cereal lol) Thank you guys so much!!! I LOVE it :)

This is what happens when...Feb. 9.2011

This is what happens when I keep my hair in a ponytail all day and I take it out as I get ready for bed hahahaha...Ya I took my ponytail out and was like "wow my hair feels really weird" come to find out that's because half of it was sticking out lol!

I did it :) Feb. 6. 2011

So Sunday was basically an incredible day-A wonderful sacrament meeting filled with tons of uplifting stories, the Packers took home the win at the Super Bowl, and Nate and I completed the Book of Mormon.
A little over seven months but we did it!
It makes me feel so awesome inside to know that I finally read through the Book of Mormon for me, not for any requirement in Young Women's or Honor's recognition in Seminary, I did it for me. I believe this is the one time in my life I can act selfish (at least I think it is) and although I did do this with Nate (I am SO grateful he was there right along side of me motivating me to keep up my good work even if he was far away!) I still am super proud of myself of making it into a habit-each night before I go to bed (no matter what time it is and yes there has been some SUPER late nights lol...dang college!) I read my scriptures and journal :) I love the scriptures! Each time I read them I get something new out of them and I fully believe in the saying "you get out of them what you need to hear" which has totally been evident in reading with Nate-its really interesting to see what his remarks are to the same verses I am reading :) Anywho not to make this post SUPER long I just wanted to finish off with my testimony (or a little chunk of it), this book here is a powerful tool that has definitely help change me into a better person and help me grow closer not only to my Heavenly Father but my Savior and brother Jesus Christ as well. I love how this book can be related to my life even if it was written ages ago-i love how the stories can help me get through trials or struggles I am experiencing! I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints :)

Super Bowl Sunday Feb 6. 2011

I decided to use this photo to talk about the super bowl instead... (even my niece Brooklyn was rooting for Green Bay lol) My bro in law johnny is a HUGE Green Bay Packer fan and so when they were headed to the Super Bowl he was excited-well lets be honest... he flipped! lol! ya he was stoked for it!
I wish I could've been there to witness his excitement grow as the Green Bay dominated the Steelers! It was a very exciting game and I must say I love super bowl snacks :) Chips and dip-yummy! I went over to my roommate Carlye's house to watch the game with her family and her mom made us munchies which was awesome :) Congrats to the Packers-cheese heads all the way!

These little kiddos make me smile from ear to ear! Jaxson is ADORABLE and is at preschool this year and is coming along great with his potty training-go buddy go!
Then there is Miss Brooklyn-man she is growing up so fast! She is crawling all over the place-even up and down the stairs! I just love this little girl and her hair accessories ;) She likes to wear flowers like her Auntie :)

Itunes + Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream + chatting with friends = how i study for midterms lol. Two midterms in one day-that shouldn't be legal! But since I figured I was going to be up till (an undetermined time) I needed the sugar to keep me going. Oh midterms-grrr!

Great Expectations/Ultimate Frisbee Feb. 5. 2011

Today we had Priest and Laurels from all over the Seattle area come to the Institute for our Great Expectations activity (showed them around the institute, talked to them about picking colleges, and then a motivational talk by Bro White-one of our awesome Institute teachers to the left there! and pulled pork sandwiches with ice cream and then we went to Husky Stadium to play ultimate Frisbee!) Playing on Husky Stadium is such a rush! Of course it was raining (always does when we go outside to play in Washington) and so it was cold and rainy which made for some awesome slides, amazing plays, and not to brag but for one epic interception by yours truly lol :)

Date with Mrs. K. O Feb. 5. 2011

One of my favorite people in the world texted me on Friday and asked if I wanted to hang out on Saturday. Mrs. K.O. (formally known as Miss K from WHS if anyone is reading this who knew her as that) picked me up at UW, definitely a test of the knowledge of my campus but I got her to my dorm (woohoo!) and then we went to Redmond for lunch at Chipotle-I had never been but it was awesome! I got the chicken burrito and it was mmm mmm good ;) Then we headed to Eastlake High School where she teaches now (which is also one of my roommates old high school-and i competed there with my high schools dance team two years ago-small world) It was definitely weird being back in the dancing atmosphere, I will admit I miss dancing and competing but I don't miss all the primping and drama that goes along with it. I can definitely see that in the past two years I have matured but I still appreciate the Arts :) Anywho being there with Mrs. K. O. was awesome-I LOVE chatting with her! Thank you so much for inviting me out (i love our dates) the lunch, performances, and conversation/company was awesome-you are the best! I love being closer to you so we can hang out more often!

Oh Seattle Feb.4. 2011

What better to do on a Friday than sit in your room because it is bleh outside-thank you Seattle. I decided to devote this post to you and the weatherman, thanks for telling me that it was going to be 52 and sunny and get my hopes up and then I wake up to a gray sky and rain :/ But life goes on....and this is the second half of my post-i LOVE how in Seattle that no matter the weather (mostly because it is like this outside for most of the year) people are still in high spirits and keep going with their daily routine. Definitely helps me during my down days-which this week was one of them so the gloomy weather outside kinda fit with my mood-but i have hope that Seattle will bring some sun! Why is summer so far away?

It's February :) Feb. 1. 2011

Never in my life have I ever seen a month zoom by like January did-and never in my life do I honestly don't care haha. A new month is here (and woohoo for being the shortest one too!) and that means a few more weeks of this quarter, getting closer to midterms :/, and heading to another month down for Elder Schott :)
